Students, Parents, and Teachers

Thank you for this wonderful program. I am in awe at how my 6 1/2 year old granddaughter has responded to this.

I am really amazed at how great the lessons are and the videos are so helpful.

Thanks for your fast and efficient support. Not many guys around like you and your colleagues.

I received month 1 of the pianoinstruction cd and have been happily playing since then... its been educational and great fun

Dear PianoForKids, I love your lessons!

I loved the lessons... I will recommend the course to others because it is excellent.

I am having a very good time learning and playing music for my friends

I am in the process of learning and will purchase other lessons

I am very pleased with what I have received. I have recommended your program to a friend of mine and she also loves it

I have received the CD of the lessons and it is great

A parent of a new student from New Mexico had this to say…

"(I) like beginning with one note at a time for a solid foundation, using what already has been learned in subsequent lessons, new lingo and quiz on lingo is fun for the kids, teaching the notes and how to read music right away rather than the "learn by number" method, duets for teachers, can learn in your own home, on your own keyboard (most teachers won't come to your house)."

A couple of emails from a parent in Texas…

My son has decided that he would prefer an electric keyboard, as he loves the idea of recording himself and changing instrument sounds as Dan does with Stephanie in one of the videos. Whatever motivates him, right ? I think we are in for a fun time.

I did register with PianoforKids. We don't read music so this is a wonderful, easy way to learn. We can easily play the tunes by ear, but is important that we learn to read.

We are having alot of fun so far. The purchase of the keyboard made all the difference. His interest in playing doubled. We'll keep you posted !

A parent from Ohio…

Both my daughter and I are participating in your service. We both have no former piano experience. My daughter practices 20-30 minutes each day. I try to do the same, but I usually devote more time on the weekend.

A piano instructor from California…

Thank you for responding so quickly the other day ... I've been a private piano teacher for a few years and am now closing that sector of my life. Most of the other teachers I know haven't been able to take on any more students. So, I've been looking for a place to refer a few of my students. After exploring your website, I will definitely be directing them to your site!!

"The internet site itself is user friendly. After registering - it's $10 a month to use as often as you want - the site allows you to run through lessons, each accompanied by a six-minute video of (Dan) Delaney teaching."

"it's the ability of parents to work with their children that makes the learning method … each lesson comes with a song melody to practice and a duet. That duet can either by played by a parent or played along with the melody if the student's keyboard can record tracks."

"Dan has taken me further in one year than any other teacher has taken me in one year of studying find this method allows me incredible flexibility to fit this activity into my life. I never have to leave the house. I can review my lesson as often as I want so I can have available the high quality of instruction Dan has to offer to review and have access to any time you want."

MIKE LEVENTHAL -Berklee College of MUSIC

"As a student I studied with Dan as a personal student for two years and recently switched over to his video method. To my disbelief it was more thorough than an in person piano lesson. I now have the added advantage to watch Dan demonstrate all the techniques over and over again for my review. It teaches anyone who wants to learn all aspects of piano playing I think this method is just fantastic!"

Computer Piano Man

Dan Delaney has devised a piano instructional CD-ROM for anyone to learn his piano Method. No newcomer to teaching, Delaney taught traditional, one-on-one piano lessons for over 20 years. Then in 1989, he developed an onscreen, personalized video teaching method where he interacts with students scattered across the country via instructional video tape. Now, he has fine-tuned a step-by-musical step format which he has applied to the exploding interactive CD Rom market.

Brockton piano man now teaching Wagner by video

Dan Delaney begins playing a C major scale on the grand piano in his Brockton studio. He reaches for a pedal with his foot... It's not the sustain pedal; it's the zoom pedal on the video camera above the keyboard. Welcome to the video age of piano lessons. Delaney, a jazz pianist who was educated at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, is one of the first, if not the first, in the region to conduct piano lessons by video tape. He makes a videotaped lesson and mails it to a student, who sends back an audiocassette of his or her performance. That was then, now Dan has the technology to perform almost a full year on 5 CD Roms and students don't have to mail back their results. Instead they are rated on the interactive computer CD's.
